ABOUT

Fabián Araya (Buenos Aires, 1986)

Graduated in Contemporary Music Composition and Conducting from the National University of Arts of Buenos Aires, and in Music Teaching from the Astor Piazzolla Conservatory. He began his career as a professional musician at the age of fourteen with two performances at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

In the early years of his career, he shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Yann Tiersen (France), Hilliard Green (United States), George Haslam (England) and Agustín Pereyra Lucena (Argentina), while touring nationally and throughout South America. At the same time, he created contemporary and experimental works focused on combining artistic languages from different disciplines, including dance, literature and visual arts.

Since 2012, he has worked as a conductor and arranger for different popular music ensembles (tango, chacarera, salsa, cumbia), and has composed and produced incidental music for Fashion Films in New York. In 2014 he collaborated in Paris as an ensemble director and arranger, establishing a strong connection to Europe, which led him to tour in Germany, France, Spain, Hungary and Portugal, where he later established his residence. During those years in Portugal, he also worked as an exclusive artist for a leading events company.

Launched in 2015, his solo career includes three albums, highly praised by both national and international press. Alongside his recordings, he has participated in more than 30 albums as performer, arranger or producer.

Between June 2024 and June 2025, Araya expanded his creative field by composing more than 60 hip hop beats on MPC. Many of these works were supported by Akai, who provided him with production tools and incorporated him as a beta tester of its MPC operating system.

Currently based in the Netherlands, Fabián Araya continues to develop his work as a composer, performer and producer, with a career that bridges contemporary, popular and urban music.
